Wisdom and Light: An Introduction to the Philosophy of the Greek Church Fathers

Registration for this event is now closed.

In the time of the early church, Christian thinkers engaged with the terms, ideas and problems of Greek philosophy, in a way reminiscent of that in which theologians today engage with modern science and popular culture. In this series of public lectures, you will encounter three diverse and striking examples of how Christians in the ancient world brought their faith into conversation with the Greek philosophical tradition. The course is led by Professor Vrasidas Karalis, Professor Bronwen Neil and Dr Samuel Kaldas.

When: Monday, August 17, 2026 - Monday, September 21, 2026
Time: 6:00 PM — 8:00 PM
