Q: Why should I attend Open Day?
Our Open Day event will provide you with an opportunity to speak with staff, alumni and current students, attend Information Sessions to find out more about the degrees we have on offer, tour our unique town campus and much, much more!
Q: Is Open Day being held on-campus or online?
Open Day is a great opportunity for you to experience everything that Notre Dame has to offer, and in 2022 the event will have both on-campus and online activities for you to get involved in!
Please know that Notre Dame will continue to be guided by, and comply with, all public health advice here in WA. As such, please keep an eye out for updates leading into the big day, as we will notify you of any changes.
Q: Do I need to register to attend Notre Dame’s Open Day?
Yes, registration is essential. Once you have registered, you are free to plan your day, see what’s on offer, and book specific sessions to make sure you get the most out of the day.
We welcome you join us on-campus in Fremantle’s beautiful West End, or jump online to watch our many live-streamed Information Sessions. When you register, you’ll be asked how you’re attending the event, either on-campus, online or both!
Q: How do I plan my day and book specific sessions?
Organising your day is easy once you’ve registered to attend Open Day. Simply explore the available sessions, adding everything you’re interested in to your very own event schedule. There will be a wide range of Information Sessions hosted across the day, both on-campus and online, to give you a better look at what it’s like to be a Notre Dame student!
Q: I’m interested in postgraduate study. Can I attend Open Day?
Yes, of course! Our Open Day has sessions relevant for future students from all walks of life, whether you are interested in undergraduate or postgraduate study.
Q: I’m an international student. Can I attend Open Day?
Yes! International students are more than welcome to get involved in Open Day and learn more about life here at Notre Dame. Plus, if you join us on-campus, you’ll also have the opportunity to chat to our International Student Team in our main Expo Hall.
Q: Are there any event restrictions or requirements I need to follow?
Please know that Notre Dame will continue to be guided by, and comply with, all public health advice here in WA. As such, we will provide you with all final event guidelines closer to the day.
If you’re feeling unwell, showing symptoms of respiratory illness or have been to an exposure site and asked to isolate, Notre Dame will ask you to instead join us for our online event activities.
Q: What time is the event being held?
Open Day runs from 10am till 3pm AWST, both on-campus and online. You can stop by at any time within these hours, but it’s best to register and plan your schedule in advance, so that you don’t miss any sessions you would like to attend.
Q: I have registered to attend on-campus. How do I get there?
Our campus is located at 32 Mouat Street, Fremantle. Please note that entry into the event zone will be via Mouat Street only, at either the High Street end or Marine Terrace end.
By car: Parking is available in surrounding streets and carparks, including Collie Street Carpark.For all street parking, ensure you check sign-posts for restriction and time limit information. However, please be aware that road closures will be in place along Mouat and Croke street for the event, with detours in place.
By train or bus: The Fremantle campus is only a short 10-minute walk from the Fremantle Train and Bus Station.
Q: Will I be able to speak to staff and students about the degree I’m interested in?
Yes. If you join us on-campus you’ll have plenty of opportunities to engage with staff, alumni and current students about your degree of interest.
Q: Am I allowed to bring my parents, family members and/or friends with me onto campus?
Of course! You’re more than welcome to bring along family members and friends to our on-campus Open Day. When you register, you’ll be asked how many people will be accompanying you, so please just let us know.
Q: I have registered for Open Day. How do I access the online sessions on the day?
If you have registered, you’ll simply need to follow these couple of steps:
1. Log in to your Open Day account.
2. Explore the schedule and add online sessions to your planner by selecting the ‘Add’ button.
3. On the day, log in and head to My Schedule and click through to join your sessions.
All sessions are hosted via Zoom, so we recommend creating or logging into your account in advance. Please also ensure you have the latest version of Zoom installed.
Q: How do I ask questions on the day during the online sessions?
In all of the online Information Sessions, we invite you to ask questions via the Zoom Q&A function.
Q: Is it too late to register on the day?
Not at all! Registrations will remain open all the way through the event, so you can register at any time. To make sure that you don’t miss out on any sessions, on-campus or online, we would recommend registering and planning your schedule in advance.
